The TESI Local Programme Committee will launch by March the first "Call for Proposals" aiming to collect ideas and support the development of initiatives in the Triveneto Region and in Central and Eastern European countries from now until ESOF2020 Trieste. Each applicant can choose conventional or rather innovative formats such as workshops, round tables, conferences, exhibitions, plays, concerts. The initiatives can tackle one of the main goals suggested by UNESCO for a sustainable development, but not exclusively. Young people, education, reduction of inequalities, gender balance, inclusion, creativity, innovation and social improvement are some of the cross cutting themes identified by ESOF2020 Trieste to be considered in the design of all the initiatives. Proposals will be evaluated by the TESI's sub-Committees every three months and can be submitted for one of the following initiatives:
- proESOF, for activities to be held preferentially in the North-East of Italy and Central and Eastern European countries from February 2018 to July 2020
- Science in the City Festival, for projects to be included in the festival taking place in Trieste and in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region from June 27 to July 18, 2020.
- ESOF2020 Trieste: the official call will be launched to define the ESOF2020 Trieste Programme in January 2019 and proposals will be evaluated by an international committee. Draft proposals for the official call can be submitted now so that the TESI’s committees can provide advice and suggestions to better fulfill the official call requirements and enhance the network capacity of the applicants.
