The 18th ATLAS-Italy Workshop, the traditional gathering of the Italian community involved in the ATLAS experiment at CERN, took place in Udine from July 1 to 3, 2025.
The event brought together around 80 researchers from the ATLAS groups of various INFN Sections, including the national coordinator of the experiment, Massimo Corradi (INFN Rome), several local and activity coordinators, and the international ATLAS spokesperson, Stephane Willocq (University of Massachusetts), who was a distinguished guest of this edition. The workshop featured in-depth discussions on recent measurements and new physics searches, the status of ongoing analyses using the large dataset collected during LHC Run 3, and the ATLAS detector upgrade in preparation for the High-Luminosity LHC phase. Additional topics included outreach activities and the new computing resources recently made available by INFN.
The event featured plenary sessions, a lively poster session, numerous presentations by young researchers, and a motivational theoretical seminar by Marco Fabbrichesi (INFN Trieste), focused on the prospects for measuring quantum observables at the LHC. The traditional social dinner, held in the scenic setting of Udine Castle, concluded the workshop on a convivial note. The success of the initiative was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of researchers from the Udine ATLAS group and the administrative staff of the INFN Trieste Section. The event took place in venues kindly provided by the University of Udine, with support from the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture of the university and from the ICTP in Trieste, under the patronage of the Municipality of Udine.
