The example shown below illustrates the analog section of an integrated circuit designed for reading out silicon strip sensors in high-energy calorimetry experiments for space applications. The circuit comprises an amplifier with gain automatically switched based on the input signal amplitude, and a correlated double sampling shaper implemented in 0.35 µm CMOS technology.
