The international workshop "TMDe2015, A path towards TMD extraction" will be held in Trieste from 2nd to 4th September, 2015.
Transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMD PDFs) are crucial elements for the understanding of the nucleon structure in terms of the quark and gluon degrees of freedom in QCD, beyond the collinear approximation.
An important effort is ongoing on the experimental, theoretical and phenomenological sides.
TMDe2015 is focused on transversity and TMD extraction from semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering data with the aim to create an opportunity for deep, open and constructive discussions to review the state of the art and the near future perspectives in the field.
