In programma mercoledì 20 novembre presso l'Aula a del Dipartimento di Fisica dell'Università degli Studi di Trieste, il seminario dal titolo "Powering tomorrow’s discoveries: INFN Trieste in the European Strategy".
Powering tomorrow’s discoveries: INFN Trieste in the European Strategy
Sommario: The Standard Model of particle physics is central to our understanding of nature’s fundamental forces, accurately predicting thousands of phenomena with just about 20 parameters. Yet, it leaves key questions unanswered, such as the nature of gravity and dark matter. Expanding this model is a primary goal in particle physics today. Researchers around the world are shaping the next decade’s agenda, with Europe’s efforts fostered by the European Strategy for Particle Physics, now in its third update started in March 2024.
What role does INFN Trieste play in this process? Join us for an afternoon discussion on INFN Trieste’s ongoing projects and proposals, covering topics like the High-Luminosity LHC, the Future Circular Collider, instrumentation R&D, the Muon Collider, and advances in flavor and hadronic physics.
Curious students are especially welcome! Find the full agenda at: https://agenda.infn.it/event/43599/
