Il premio B. Rossi assegnato al team del Satellite AGILE

The prestigious B. Rossi prize of American Astronomical Society of 2012, is awarded to the AGILE team for the discovery of the variability of the gamma-ray emission of the Crab Nebula.

The AGILE satellite is the 'Bruno Rossi Prize winner of 2012, the most prestigious award in the field of high energy astrophysics, for the discovery of the variability of the emission of the Crab Nebula.

The AGILE satellite is a scientific mission of the Italian Space Agency, dedicated to study the most violent phenomena the universe, gamma-ray bursts, pulsars and black holes.

The INFN section of Trieste designed and built the AGILE silicon - tungsten tracker , the heart of the satellite, the instrument able to measure the arrival direction of photons from celestial sources
