Using your numbering: >The Merger front panel that Anna Maria circulated reports >6 connectors (slots). We number them 1 to 6 from top to bottom. 1) The hit finder has one output which is slot 1. This assumes that the XTRP input will go to merger slot 4, coming in from the bottom in order to not cover the LEDs at the top of the board. The three hit finders, counting from the left, will go: first hit finder to merger slot 3, second hit finder to merger slot 2, third hit finder to merger slot 1. Rich thinks this will give a good cabling pattern. 2) The track fitter input will be in slot 2. In case there is one track fitter per sector and the track fitter is put next to the hit buffer, the connection from the hit buffer to track fitter is lined up. If the track fitter requires an output to daisy-chain the input to the next track fitter, that connector will be in slot 3. The track fitter output will be slot 5, just for asthetics. > >MERGER : 1,2,3,4 : INPUTS A, B, C, D > 5, 6 : OUTPUTS A, B (two identical streams) > >AMS : 4 : OUTPUT (ROADS) > 5 : INPUT (HITS) > >HB : 2 : OUTPUT (Road-Hit Packet) > 4 : INPUT (ROADS) > 6 : INPUT (HITS)
